ORGANIZATIONAL SET-UP
It is controlled by a 10-member Board of
Governors with the Minister for Petroleum & Natural
Resources as Chairman. The Institute headed by the Director
General, has 233 employees including scientists and engineers.
The Institute has its Head Office at Islamabad
and its main laboratory complexes at Karachi and Islamabad.
In addition, it maintains four Petroleum Testing Centers located
at Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta and Multan. Complete addresses of contact persons at each
location are given at the end of this document. The total
laboratory floor area of HDIP at all locations is about 85,000
sq.ft. Four CNG stations are also being operated by this
institute, one each at Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Quetta.
